Would recommend buying it as a good use of company funds and effective training material. We have novice, basic, and intermediate users of Office 2007. This book is getting plenty of use by all levels of familiarity with the software.
It is written in simple, easy to understand language, without all the "tech-speak" jargon so many other manuals on Microsoft Office Systems use.This book can be used as a textbook for first timers--new to 2007 Microsoft Office, or near the computer at work as an easy, quick reference guide.Highly recommended. Good book for beginners on up. It gives informative, point by point details on how to use the different office systems, including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point & Outlook.
I love it. This is a great book for someone just starting out using Office 2007 or for someone familiar with Office but hasn't used a component for a while. I haven't used this book a whole lot yet but everything I have needed help on has been in here so far and has helped me through the process I needed information on. I love all the graphic pictures and explanations in the easy to understand and follow, directions.
If you have a business to run and time matters, don't waste it on this. They do not follow out a task to the end, leaving you lost. If I could give it zero stars I would. If you think Office 2007 was a giant step backward, with needless complexity and grandiose obfuscation of the simplest tools and access, then buying this book will only make things worse. Microsoft has indeed a monopoly on many applications in the white collar world, and in their efforts to squeeze us for our dollars over and over, they take away our tools and hide them in useless "upgrades." This book tells you just enough to hint at solutions, but in classic Mircosoft style, omits steps, refuses to identify arcane terminology and in general wastes your time.
It also helps my staff better than the help button on MS Office 2007 applications. I have this in my computer lab so my staff who may or may not be advanced in Office 2007 can look up processes for our patrons. It has clear and easy to follow instructions.
